Let's be honest. When you want to catch a trout there are few things that work better than dough bait. The problem is dough bait was made for fish, not fishermen.

How do we know you use it? We see it under your fingernails, on your fishing vest, your rod handle, your tackle box, your pant legs, and your brand new boat. Did we mention on your kid? Put too much dough on your hook and the fish won't bite, not enough and your bait sinks to the bottom. Squeeze too hard and you've got a hook in your finger, not hard enough and the dough is gone as soon as your cast hits the water.

The dough bait companies have tried to solve this problem by giving you pellets and nuggets to use. Problem is the fish don't like those as well as that good ole dough. Our answer to dough bait is the Trout Berry and Egg Berry.

For best results when using dough bait, you should never touch it with your fingers. Doing so transfers the smell of your mosquito repellent, sun screen, or the PBJ you just ate from your hands to your bait. Fish smell that on the bait and swim away.
